Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal assessment process under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and the Standards for RTOs 2025 — Outcome Standard 1.6 (OS 1.6). It recognises the skills, knowledge, and experience you have already gained — through work, life, or previous study — and maps them against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You don't repeat what you already know. You demonstrate it.
RPL is not a shortcut or a rubber stamp. It is a rigorous, evidence-based assessment conducted by a qualified assessor. Where gaps exist between your current skills and the qualification standard, integrated gap training fills only those gaps — nothing more, nothing less.
Available to Domestic & International Students
RPL is open to all eligible students at Wyatt Education Group — both domestic and international students on a student visa. All four CRICOS-registered qualifications include an RPL pathway.

Enquire Now →Our RPL process is designed to be straightforward, honest, and efficient. No unnecessary complexity — just a clear pathway from where you are now to where your qualification says you should be.
Start with a conversation. We review your work history, prior learning, and relevant experience against the qualification you're targeting. No paperwork, no commitment — just an honest assessment of where you stand and whether RPL is the right pathway for you. We'll tell you straight.
A qualified Wyatt assessor maps your evidence against the unit competencies — one unit at a time. Evidence can include employment records, supervisor references, photos of your work, logbooks, prior certificates and statements of attainment, and a structured interview. Every unit is assessed independently and rigorously. You demonstrate competency — we document it.
Where the assessment identifies gaps, targeted gap training fills them — delivered in small groups, efficiently and practically. You're not sitting through content you already know. The result is full competency across every unit, and a complete nationally recognised qualification — not a partial one.
Tilers, construction workers, office professionals, and business employees — if you've built real skills over years of work but don't have the formal qualification to show for it, RPL bridges that gap.
Career breaks don't erase skills. If you're returning to work and want to formalise the expertise you built across a previous career, RPL gives you the credential your experience deserves.
Overseas qualifications and work experience may count. If you trained or worked in your trade or profession overseas and are seeking Australian recognition, RPL assesses what you already know against Australian standards.
You've been doing the work for years — managing teams, running projects, handling finances. RPL gives you the formal credential that matches the capability you already have and are demonstrating every day.
If you've completed units or qualifications elsewhere and want credit for what you've already achieved, RPL and Credit Transfer can recognise prior formal learning — so you don't start from zero.
The first step costs nothing. If you're unsure whether you qualify, reach out. Our team will give you an honest answer — and if RPL isn't right for you, we'll tell you that too.

All qualifications are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Delivered by Wyatt Education Group — RTO 46003 | CRICOS 04130B.
RPL isn't about starting from scratch — it's about recognising where you already are. We assess what you know, fill only the gaps, and get you across the line efficiently.
That said, RPL is a genuine assessment — not a box-ticking exercise. You will need to provide real evidence of your skills and experience. Our assessors are qualified, independent, and thorough. The outcome reflects your actual competency level.
You won't repeat training you don't need
You won't pay for content that doesn't apply to you
Gap training is targeted, small-group, and practical
The outcome is a complete, nationally recognised qualification — not partial
Assessment is conducted by qualified Wyatt assessors under Standards for RTOs 2025 (OS 1.6)
No obligation. No paperwork. Just an honest chat about your experience and whether RPL is the right path for you.
Enquire About RPL →If you have previously completed an equivalent unit or qualification at another registered training organisation, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer — so you don't repeat learning you have already formally achieved.
Credit Transfer recognises that you have already completed an equivalent unit of competency or qualification. Where granted, you do not need to complete that unit again — it is credited toward your qualification.
Credit Transfer is governed by Outcome Standard 1.7 of the Standards for RTOs 2025 (F2025L00354).
To apply for Credit Transfer, you must provide one of the following:
Wyatt Education Group will verify the authenticity of all credit transfer evidence prior to granting credit.
📌 Important: Credit Transfer decisions at Wyatt Education Group are documented, fair, transparent and consistent. They are based solely on evidence of prior completion of an equivalent training product, and maintain the integrity of the qualification. Credit Transfer does not automatically satisfy the Australian Study Requirement for skilled migration — please consult a registered MARA migration agent if this is relevant to you.
Start with a conversation. Our team will review your background honestly and walk you through what's involved — no obligation, no cost to enquire.
For PR pathway and migration enquiries related to your qualification, please consult a registered migration agent. Wyatt Education Group does not provide migration advice.
